While most education happens within the club itself, the WCPF encourages the following programmes that are open to all club members within the Western Cape

YOUTH PROGRAMME

Photography is not just for the “Old Fogies”! In an effort to actively promote and encourage photography amongst the youth, Phillip de Lange has made contact with most schools in the Western Cape, offering assistance in starting or helping photography clubs within the schools. Two schools that recently formed partnerships with some of the rural Western Cape photographic clubs, have been performing excellently in competitions. Under the guiding  hand (and eye) of Phillip, learners from these two schools gained a total of 19 Acceptances in the scholar section of the recent PSSA Up and Coming Salon  – which includes one Certificate of Merit.

Phillip is responsible for promoting photography among the youth in the Western Cape. Apart from actively assisting learners with improving their photographic skills, he also opens accounts for them on the Photovault system to enter competitions and salons.

Honours Programme (PSSA):

From time to time, the WCPF will create a formal group for those PSSA members who want to apply for honours recognition. The aim of the Honours Group is to assist members with curating and designing their panels for submission.
